Why not a textbox with it's current location/activity in the installer? From further digging in Resource Monitor (and Googling this issue (hence me being in this thread)) has shown that it's just busy scanning other drives, but doesn't give any feedback to the end-user. 's response doesn't appear to be correct, as my installer has seemingly 'stopped' but all services are installed and running as you would expect. On my install, it's scanning the external drive, but there isn't anything in the installer to say that's the cause (no UI or log, even though it goes somewhat granular as it logs mouse-clicks within the installer window along with their co-ordinates). So there is no reason to wait around for 20 minutes or more for the installer to fix itself. If you do not have any external drives attached during the install (you can attach them later, don’t worry) and your boot drive is an SSD, then the install will NEVER take more than 45 seconds. One more thing: a successful “install” will absolutely never take more than 4 or 5 minutes. By fixing it for you, it means 50 other customers will have a smooth install experience. If you are seeing this issue, I guarantee you are not alone and somebody else is seeing it also. But 5% of the time it is something new and interesting and worth fixing! About 95% of the time the issue is anti-virus of some kind. If all these things are true, open a Backblaze support ticket and we can get to the bottom of it. If they exist, the install went Ok, then the only final step is that bzserv.exe is “registered as a Windows service” which you should see bzserv.exe running in the TaskManager. These three binaries MUST be present on disk 10 seconds after the install HAS STARTED or something went horribly off the rails:Ĭ:\Program Files (x86)\Backblaze\bzserv.exeĬ:\Program Files (x86)\Backblaze\bztransmit.exeĬ:\Program Files (x86)\Backblaze\bzfilelist.exe

Julia McCurdie, who also plays a queen at Medieval Times, agreed. “And when we’re short on stable hands, they don’t have time to do all of the safety checks that are needed, like ensuring that the saddles are tight.” “We do 16 shows a week, so the knights don’t have time to properly rest,” the 39-year-old Los Angeles resident said recently. Green said AGVA’s union dues would run around $750 a year.Įrin Zapcic, who portrays a queen at the Buena Park castle, said the theater has been operating with limited staff since it reopened in June 2021 after a COVID-19 shutdown - a situation that has left the door open for potential injuries. The workers’ push to unionize was fueled by wage and safety concerns. Doris didn’t discuss what kind of wage increase AGVA might ask for if the workers unionize. “They’re saying they can’t make a living on the wages they’re being paid.” “A lot of them people are making $14 an hour and they work them just short of 30 hours so they don’t qualify for health insurance,” she said. Workers at those locations haven’t said if they intend to join a labor union.ĭoris said the Buena Park employees could benefit from unionization. That sends up a red flag for me.”ĭallas-based Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament operates a total of 10 Medieval Times dinner theaters, with additional locations in Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Myrtle Beach, Orlando, Scottsdale and Toronto. “The other thing is, we asked for a copy of their constitution and bylaws, but we’ve never seen those. “I always felt we should wait to see what happens in New Jersey,” he said. Marten Borg, who portrays a knight at the Buena Park location, agreed. “We need more information to decide if it would be beneficial to us.” “We’ve missed the opportunity to see what happens with that location so we can better understand the process and see what we would get out of it,” the 26-year-old Irvine resident said. Employees there voted 26-11 for union membership. Michelle Green, who has worked as a stable hand at the Buena Park castle for nearly a year and earns $16.25 an hour, said the unionization process has moved so quickly, the workers didn’t have time to evaluate the impact of AGVA’s victory earlier this year at Medieval Times’ Lyndhurst, N.J. “The fact that the parties have expended resources, including in anticipation of a scheduled election, is not a basis for refusing to approve a withdrawal request, even very shortly before the election,” the stipulation states. The workers’ petition cites an NRLB stipulation that allows employees to withdraw from a bargaining unit before a union election is held. “We are awaiting a decision from the NLRB as to the details of the upcoming election.” “The document that you sent me is of questionable authenticity, and will not interfere with the fundamental right of Medieval (Times) employees to choose to unionize,” she wrote. Several members of AGVA’s administration received the signed petition, and Doris responded three days later. (File photo by Leonard Ortiz, Orange County Register/SCNG)Īfter weeks of research and meetings with both AGVA and Medieval Times, 25 of the 47 members of Medieval Times’ bargaining unit - including stable hands, knights, squires and show cast members - signed a petition asking AGVA to withdraw its petition to the NLRB for a union election. Twenty-five of the 47 members of Medieval Times’ bargaining unit - including stable hands, knights, squires and show cast members - signed a petition asking AGVA to withdraw its petition to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) for a union election. 15-16 hearing with the National Labor Relations Board, AGVA again argued to keep the stable hands included. The employees turned to Medieval Times’ attorney, who also requested the stable hands be removed from the bargaining unit. Mentorship has always been a key theme in jazz history. It is also important to note that while the premise of the show was to toss the average teenager into a fantasy-themed world, it is not a deconstruction of the fantasy genre-the show lacks the focus on and the necessary intricate details characteristic of a deconstruction to be considered such-and is only one of its enjoyment factors. A conspicuously common issue is approaching this show expecting an action, most likely consequential of the initial action scenes and seemingly shounen setup, and receiving a slice of life instead. The combination of realism and narrative focus on character lifestyle and relatively slower progression makes it a natural watch for such people. Hai to Gensou no Grimgar is tailored to fans of slice of life. They were mostly just minor extensions of the human ability, which harmonises well with its realism theme. Another excellent feature Hai to Gensou no Grimgar employ is not having over-the-top combat abilities. It is abnormal for much to happen outside of their daily struggles. Though why should anything extraordinary happen? They lead basic lives and hold little significance. One example of such realism is the fact almost nothing major happens at the beginning. The dialogue, development, and interactions are all seemingly realistic. The characters will have to face the reality of the world. The characters will have to manage basic needs, such as food and shelter. Hai to Grimgar's paramount feature is its realism. It has been identified and explained it in the spoiler section. Whether or not its failure can be pardoned (if it is viewed as such) will ultimately dictate one’s enjoyability of the show. This is especially pertinent to an important moment that coalesces some of Hai to Gensou no Grimgar major elements. Hai to Gensou no Grimgar is subject to such with the limitation of 12 episodes. To rush something is to reach something without having the necessary details or time for the viewers to follow or agree with the outcome. Now regardless of the pacing, it is possible for something to be rushed. Bluntly put, the show might seem slow or idle if one focuses on the explicit details and misses all the implicit detail, which is possibly consequential of not understanding the purpose of the show (detailed later). Explicitly it might seem so but when explored implicitly, there is profoundness behind most interactions and moments (plot-wise and character-wise). In this case, the creators have done a superb job at pacing the show such that the story and characters (development and characterisation) are often progressing and the right mood is established. It is only when it is incongruously or meaninglessly slow it can be considered such. Though, it is sometimes deemed ‘slow’, but slow is not bad. Such is also true for the pacing, as it evolves into superbness. The show starts off on a weaker foot but eventually progresses superbly, making it worth the watch if the initial set of annoyances can be endured. Note this orientates Hai to Gensou no Grimgar more towards those who are interested in group development. This opportunity to learn about how each character interacts with the group is one of Hai to Gensou no Grimgar best point. There’s a greater emphasis on characterising and developing the group as opposed to the individuals however, it is decently balanced between the group and the individuals such that neither don’t feel completely neglected the viewers are briefly enlightened on their individual daily lives (roles, recreation, style of living etc.) and personalities. and as such, the watch is recommended for anyone who enjoys reading pensively into things.Īn inherent feature of Hai to Gensou no Grimgar is its large main cast. Due to this profound nature of the show, reflection is commonplace Closely observing this and the plot is paramount as to not miss the abundance of implicit detail dedicated to their development and characterisation. Hai to Gensou no Grimgar challenges these demands by emphasising the natural growth of characters: step by step characters are built through every interaction with the plot. This often pertains to the widespread demands of instant gratification. Shows throughout time have had a tendency to force characters from 0 to a 100 in an unrealistic time frame. Hai to Gensou no Grimgar is a rather unique watch. If the product is too large or restricted in your state, you will not be able to checkout with that item in your cart. Naphthalene, which has two aromatic rings, and the three-ring compounds anthracene and phenanthrene are the most basic of these chemicals. The aromatic hydrocarbons are a significant subset of this category. It is also used as a smokescreen, scintillation counter crystals, and inorganic semiconductor research.Ī polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) is a hydrocarbon with many aromatic rings and is a chemical compound containing only carbon and hydrogen. In the presence of light, it is particularly vulnerable to deterioration. Tobacco smoke and consumption of food tainted with combustion materials are the primary sources of human exposure.Īnthracene is non-carcinogenic, as according to several studies it "consistently gives negative results in numerous in vitro and in vivo genotoxicity experiments." Since crude samples were tainted with other polycyclic aromatic compounds, early studies suggested otherwise. 9,10-dihydroxy anthracene is an example of anthracene with several hydroxyl groups.ĭuring combustion processes, anthracene, like many other polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, is produced. 1-hydroxyanthracene and 2-hydroxyanthracene are hydroxylated derivatives of phenol and naphthols, and hydroxyanthracene (also known as anthrol and anthracenol) is pharmacologically active. Anthracene is also used in anthraquinone use.Īnthracene derivatives are used in a number of applications. The anthracene tracer allows for UV inspection of the conformal coating. It is present in wood preservatives, insecticides, and coating materials.Īnthracene is widely used as a UV tracer in printed wiring board conformal coatings. The emission spectrum of anthracene peaks between 400 and 440 nm. Plastics, such as polyvinyl toluene, can be doped with anthracene to create a water-equivalent plastic scintillator for use in radiation therapy dosimetry. The air and water sensitive orange solid Mg(C 14 H 10 )(thf) 3 is made by heating a suspension of magnesium in a thf solution of anthracene.Īnthracene is primarily converted to anthraquinone, a dye precursor.Īnthracene, an organic semiconductor with a large bandgap, is used as a scintillator for high-energy photon, electron, and alpha particle detectors. Magnesium anthracene is an organomagnesium compound that is almost always isolated as tetrahydrofuran (THF) adduct with three ligands. The presence of oxygen has an effect on the reaction. The behaviour of substituted anthracene derivatives is similar. Thermally or with UV irradiation below 300 nm, it reverts to anthracene. The 4+4 cycloaddition results in a pair of new carbon-carbon bonds connecting the dimer, which is known as Dianthracene (or sometimes paranthracene). The action of UV light causes anthracene to photo dimerize. Elbs, on the other hand, misinterpreted the reaction product due to a lack of understanding of naphthalene structure. The reaction is named after Karl Elbs, a German chemist, who also invented the Elbs oxidation. The Elbs reaction is an organic reaction in which an ortho methyl-substituted benzophenone is pyrolyzed to produce a condensed polyaromatic. With over 700 chemicals identified, anthraquinone is the biggest group of natural pigments. They are the extensive category of naturally occurring quinones, together with some of the most crucial native colourants like alizarin, purpurin, munjistin, emodin, chrysophanol, aloe-emodin, physcion, rhein, etc. Anthraquinone may be formed from direct combustion processes in motor-operated vehicles and engines. Anthracene with two carbon-oxygen double bonds at the two middle carbons of the molecule is easily recognised as anthraquinone. It is the three rings that were bound together, as well as the network of alternating double and single bonds that ran all the way around them.Īnthracene is converted to anthraquinone when it is reacted with an oxidising agent like hydrogen peroxide. A polycyclic refers to a molecule with more than one ring, aromatic refers to a molecule with alternating double-single bonds all over the ring structure, and hydrocarbon refers to a molecule composed entirely of carbon and hydrogen atoms. Three benzene rings are fused together to form anthracene, a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon. This article will study the use of anthracene in detail. It is colourless but fluoresces blue (400–500 nm peak) when exposed to ultraviolet light. Anthracene is used to make the red dye alizarin as well as other dyes. Anthracene is a three-fused benzene ring solid polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) with the formula C 14 H 10. Anthracene is a colourless crystalline aromatic hydrocarbon utilised in the chemical industry that is created by distilling natural crude oils.
